The Caretaker's Window
was painted "en plein air" at the chateau of Lord Levene of Portsoken near Honfleur, France. Lord Levene is the Chairman of Lloyd's of London.
Lord Peter Levene and his lovely wife Wendy saw me as I painted an old building in Honfleur and envited me to come to their home to paint in the French countryside. It was there that I painted this study of their caretaker's house.
