Our Pochade Boxes Are Giggling

Bozeman, Montana is way up north and high in altitude - so our summers take awhile to arrive. But when they do, Oh boy!

The "Oh Boy!!!" season is upon us and my painting gear, watercolors, and oils, are packed and ready to go at a moment’s notice. It’s kind of like the Cowboys of long ago. Their trusty sidearm is always ready to blast off.

This summer, Howard and I are invited guests to paint with the Members of the Rocky Mountain Plein Painters Association. What a terrific Honor!

Right now we are packing up and heading to their 6^th Annual Plein Air for the Park Show in the glorious Grand Teton National Park. 40 artists are gathering from across the USA and over the week will be creating hundreds of exciting paintings capturing the essence of the magnificent Mountains, lakes, meadows, and forests of the Great and Grand Tetons. There is much more to it. For 10 days, July 6 – 16, artists will be quietly painting in every nook and cranny all over Teton National Park. The public is invited to stop by and watch the creations as they roll off the artists’ brushes. This event is packed with special demonstrations. The actual Showing of the paintings opens July 12 - July 16 with the Opening Reception July 12, 7 pm – 9 pm at the Craig Thomas Discovery and Visitor Center.

Everyone is welcome. The show will continue through July 16, with new paintings continuing to be created and displayed. This is an event not to be missed!

Well, wait, here is the website. It will tell you so much more about this exciting event!
